(Dec. 30, 2019) – Walt Disney World Resort is ringing in the new year with a sensational collection of experiences, with spectacular new attractions plus returning seasonal favorites planned throughout 2020. Florida residents can enjoy all of this magic and more in the Walt Disney World theme parks with the special Discover Disney Ticket, offered just for them.

Starting Jan. 2, 2020, Florida residents can purchase a 3-Day Discover Disney Ticket for $175 (plus tax) for a limited time, or $59 per day (plus tax), valid for admission to one Walt Disney World theme park per day, any day through June 30, 2020. For an additional $20 (plus tax), Florida residents can add a fourth day to experience even more of the exciting new opportunities coming in 2020.

The Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket* includes admission to any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks (one theme park per day). Tickets are available for purchase Jan. 2-June 27, 2020, and can be used any three or four days (depending on ticket purchased) from Jan. 2 through June 30, 2020.

• Guests can be among the first to experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the first ride-through attraction featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, set to debut March 4, 2020, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Ready, Set, Celebrate! Walt Disney World Resort Rings in 2020 with Dazzling New Year’s Eve Festivities Across Its Theme Parks and Resort Hotels

XX, 2019) – Five, four, three, two … one of the joyous ways to count down to 2020 is being part of the over-the-top New Year’s Eve events at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The Most Magical Place on Earth is so intertwined with the hope and promise each new year brings – it’s the perfect place to celebrate!

From champagne toasts to exquisite meals, dance parties to spectacular fireworks displays, here’s a sampling of the excitement in store as the calendar turns the page to 2020:

Theme Parks

Take a walk on the wild side for a fun and festive time as Disney’s Animal Kingdom stays open until midnight and DJs keep the night moving at Discovery Island, DinoLand U.S.A. and Asia. Be watching the iconic Tree of Life for a special countdown to midnight.

Magic Kingdom Park rocks out with DJ dance parties. Guests are invited to “grab your pardner” in Frontierland for a spin around the dance floor or catch the futuristic beats in Tomorrowland. Guests can stake out their favorite viewing space as the “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks show returns for two nights only (in place of “Happily Ever After”) to light up the night leading to the midnight countdown. Celebration nights: Dec. 30 & 31, 2019; “Fantasy in the Sky” will also be shown at 6:30 p.m. each night.

2019 will be a year long remembered at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the debut of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in August and the new attraction Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance earlier this month.
